Old Idaho Penitentiary State Historic Site – Built in 1870, the Old Idaho Penitentiary boasts of 30 historical structures, of which some of them now exhibit educational artifacts.
State Capitol – Construction of the building began in 1905 and took 15 years to complete. Sitting atop the dome is a 5 feet high statue of Golden Eagle. It also consists of several artifacts and exhibits.
Boise River Greenbelt – Spanning across 25 miles, the Boise Greenbelt connects about 850 acres of natural lands and parks and runs through the middle of the city. It offers a host of walking and bicycling paths alongside wildlife viewing opportunities.
Idaho Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial – The memorial features over 60 quotes that were chosen from over 2,000 submitted ones. The quotes are from various leaders and human idols throughout the history. The center also features a bronze statue of Anne Frank placed in the attic of the memorial.
Kathryn Albertson Park – Spread across 41 acres, the park is a wetland habitat featuring beautiful lagoons, walking paths, gazebos and a fountain. There are also signs that spread throughout the park providing information on wildlife and habitats.
World Center for Birds of Prey – This bird center endorses for the birds of prey to be released in the wild and features birds like falcons, eagles, condors and many more. They are kept for breeding and research.
