About Aeromexico (AM) Flights

Aeroméxico is the Mexican flag carrier that flies through domestic and international destinations. Founded in 1934, the airline commenced operations with its first flight to Acapulco. Today, the airline covers more than 90 destinations, including Mexican cities and international cities across North, South, and Central America; the Caribbean, Europe, and Asia. It operates around 600 flights and has a fleet of 148 aircraft. Aeroméxico is a founding member of the SkyTeam airline alliance and has codeshare agreements with major international airlines such as Air France, China Airlines, Japan Airlines, Delta Air Lines, KLM, Vietnam Airlines, and more. Classes of Service

Main Cabin class in Aeroméxico is an excellent option to book flights at the lowest cost. The cabin offers basic and classic seat options to cater to the needs of budget travelers. There is a slight difference in the airfare and onboard facilities offered to the passengers. With Basic and Classic fares, passengers can carry one personal item and a carry-on bag. The only added benefit of Classic is that passengers can upgrade their seats, get a complimentary standard seat selection, and save on checked bag fees by getting up to 25% discount.

AM Plus is like the premium economy that promises extra legroom and SkyPriority benefits such as priority check-in, early boarding, and free baggage. Passengers can also use the overhead bins for carry-on bags as they are the first to board. With Flexible AM Plus, passengers can change flights multiple times at no extra cost. Snacks and drinks are also offered.

Aeroméxico has divided its business-class cabins into Premier, Premier Light, and Premier One. Except for Premier Light, all cabins feature full recliner seats with extra legroom and privacy. There is an exclusive onboard menu that features meals and beverages. Premier Light has a better space with no middle seat that adds to the comfort. Business class passengers get onboard entertainment and wi-fi free of charge.

Baggage Policy

Passengers can bring one carry-on bag and one personal item with an Aeroméxico airline flight ticket. The carry-on luggage should measure not more than 45 linear inches and weigh up to 22 lb. Personal items such as laptop bags or briefcases should be small enough to fit the overhead bin.

The checked baggage allowance can vary for domestic flights and international flights. Passengers on domestic flights can carry one free checked luggage of 66 lb in Premier Class and 55 lb in the main cabin and AM Plus. Not adhering to the weight restrictions and dimensions can result in extra cost. Flying within Mexico, passengers need to pay for overweight luggage.

Aeroméxico Airlines has an easy web check-in service for all passengers. For international flights, passengers can check in online hours before departure, whereas passengers flying domestically can check in 48 hours before the departure time. You can either check-in via the official website or mobile application. As you complete the check-in process, you can download and print the boarding pass.
