Baggage Policy

Carry-on Baggage

Flyers flying on board Virgin Australia flights are permitted to carry a maximum of 15 lbs. of carry-on baggage. They can carry a maximum of two pieces of baggage, the combined weight of which should not exceed 15 lbs. The maximum linear dimensions in case of a small bag or briefcase should not exceed 41 inches and that in case of one small bag plus a suit-pack or garment bag should not exceed 72 inches.

Checked Baggage

Passengers flying with Virgin Australia are allocated checked baggage allowance on basis of fare type and membership level of the frequent flyer program. The maximum weight permitted per piece of checked baggage is 71 lbs. Its linear dimension should not be more than 55 inches.
