About StarPerú (2I) Flights

Formerly known as Star Up S.A., StarPerú is a Peru based air carrier which has its main hub at Jorge Chávez International Airport in Lima, Peru. StarPerú took to the skies in 1997 and since then it’s striving to make it bigger and better with relevance to air services. The airline made its mark in the aviation industry with cargo transport services and charter flights for multinational companies. Back then StarPerú carried out its operations using the Soviet made Antonov aircraft.

In the year 2004, the airline started expansion and added the first Boeing 737-200 to its fleet.  The first city it served was Pucallpa.  In 2005, the airline altered its name to StarPerú.

Connectivity and Fleet Size

You can make StarPerú flights reservations to about 8 domestic destinations namely Lima, Iquitos, Huánuco, Cusco, Pucallpa, Tarapoto and Puerto Maldonado. The tickets are easily available for both one-way trip and round –trip flights.

StarPerú has a total of 7 in service aircraft which comprises of the modernized British-made BAe146 units. One of the major characteristics of StarPerú flights is that its aircraft have the ability to take off and land with ease on short distances. StarPerú boosts of 3 BAe 146 – 200 aircraft, 2 BAe 146 – 100 aircraft and 2 BAe 146 – 300 aircraft.

Baggage Policy

Carry- On Baggage

Passengers are allowed up to 1 piece of carry-on bag that should not weigh over 8.8 lbs.

Total measurement of the bag should not exceed over 15.7 in x 13.7 in x 7.8 inches.

Checked Baggage

Each passenger is permitted to bring a bag up to 55 lbs. The permissible weight can be distributed between a maximum of 2 bags for each passenger.  

The size of the bag should not measure more than 61 linear inches.
