Baggage Policy

Hand Baggage – First class flyers on board China Eastern Airlines flights are permitted to carry two pieces of hand baggage. The Business Class and Economy Class flyers, on the other hand, are permitted to carry only one piece of hand baggage. The maximum permitted dimensions of such hand baggage is 22 x 16 x 8 inches and the maximum permitted weight is 11 lbs. The maximum dimensions include handles, wheels and side pockets as well.

Checked Baggage

For Domestic Routes – First Class passengers flying on domestic routes can carry maximum 40 kgs aboard China Eastern Airlines flights while the Business class flyers can carry maximum of 30kgs as free checked baggage. The Economy Class passengers flying on domestic routes are permitted to carry maximum 20 kgs as

free checked baggage.

For International Routes – First class flyers can carry three pieces of free checked baggage each weighing 32kgs (three pieces for flights to/from Europe, Japan, Dubai, Australia, Korea, Singapore and Bangkok). The Business, Premium Economy and Economy class flyers can carry two pieces of checked baggage weighing 32 kgs each.

The maximum permitted dimension of each checked baggage should not exceed 158 cm (L+W+H).
