Founded in 1983, Aircalin is the international airline of New Caledonia. It offers scheduled passenger services to various domestic and regional destinations. Headquartered in Nouméa, New Caledonia, it has its hub at La Tontouta International Airport in Païta, New Caledonia, France. The airline has codeshare agreements with Air Tahiti Nui, Qantas, Air New Zealand and Air France.
Connectivity and Fleet Size
One can make Aircalin reservations to around 11 destinations such as Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Nadi, Noumea, Auckland, Papeete, Port Vila, Wallis Island, Osaka, Tokyo, Pairs and Los Angeles. Aircalin also offers daily flight services to Wallis and Futuna.

Carry –On Baggage
On Aircalin’s regional network (from /to Nouméa to Auckland, Brisbane, Melbourne, Nandi, Wallis and Port-Vila)
A business class passenger is allowed to bring one carryon bag and one accessory. The combined weight of both the items shouldn’t exceed over 26 lbs.
A passenger traveling Economy Class is allowed to bring one carryon bag and one. The combined weight shouldn’t exceed more than 15 lbs.
On Aircalin’s Long-Haul network (to/from Nouméa to Tokyo, Osaka and Papeete)
A business class passenger is allowed to bring two carryon bags and one accessory. The combined weight of all the items shouldn’t exceed above 40 lbs.
A passenger traveling Economy Class is allowed to bring one carryon bag and one accessory. The combined weight of both the items shouldn’t exceed above 26 lbs.
The maximum dimensions of the bags for both economic and business class and on both the routes (mentioned above) must not exceed 21.6 x 13.7 x 9.8 inches.
Checked Baggage
When you are flying Business Class (Hibiscus Class) to/from; Noumea and Wallis – a passenger will be permitted a baggage allowance of not more than 66 lbs.
When you are traveling Business Class (Hibiscus Class) to/from; Noumea and Port Villa – a passenger will be permitted up –to 2 bags not weighing more than 51 lbs.
When you are traveling Business Class (Hibiscus Class) to/from; Noumea and France, with our airline partners – a passenger will be allowed to carry up –to 2 bags weighing not more than 70 lbs.
When you are traveling Business Class (Hibiscus Class) with other airlines on the Aircalin network, you will be allowed to carry up –to 2 bags weighing not more than 51 lbs. each.
When you are traveling Economy Class to/from; Noumea and Wallis – a passenger will be permitted to carry 1 bag weighing up-to 51 lbs.
When you are traveling Economy Class to/from; Noumea and Port Villa – a passenger is allowed to carry one bag weighing up-to 51 lbs.
The maximum size of a checked baggage shouldn’t exceed over 62 inches.
